Songs for the BA (Hons) in Professional Dance & Musical Theatre should be no more than 3 minutes and should be sung to a backing track.
At our face to face auditions we use our interview section to get to know our candidates and assess their suitability for our training. Please film a short clip of up to 2 minutes introducing yourself and giving a little detail about you and which also answers the questions below:
- Why are you interested in training at Dancebox College?
- What is your dream job on graduation?
- Do you have the full support of your family, including financially, to pursue a performing career and to move away from home to train?
- Have you seen any of our performance pieces at either Move It or Can You Dance? and if so, how do you feel these have inspired you to apply to train at Dancebox College?
All courses at Dancebox Studios & Theatre Works are auditioned programmes of study. We use this audition process to assess the suitability of candidates for the rigorously physical dance training involved in our programmes.
Female candidates should wear leotard and tights, with appropriate footwear. Hair should be in a bun for Ballet and off the face for Jazz. Male candidates should wear tights, shorts or tight fitting sweat-pants/jazz pants and a tight-fitting top, with appropriate footwear.
